Barrie began his career in the film industry in 1996 after graduating from the London College of Fashion with a HND in Specialist Make-up. His first job was at the BBC Visual Effects dept. on projects including 'Red Dwarf' and 'Silent Witness'. The following year, Barrie was employed on his first major film, Steven Spielberg's 'Saving Private Ryan'.

Barrie has since worked for many of the leading Make-up Effects companies and Supervisors, including Weta Workshop and Academy award winner Rick Baker.

With an impressive resume spanning over 15 years, Barrie's career has gone from strength to strength. He now supervises his own projects of all sizes and budgets whilst maintaining the highest quality of work.
