Barrie sculpted and applied a 'football head' character makeup for Actor Martin Freeman, to achieve the effect of the character's head being smashed in half and replaced with a football. It consisted of 3 overlapping silicone appliances and a lightweight polyurethane football that was tailored to fit Martin's head. Nikkie Grimshaw assisted in the application. The ball was cast by Brian Best. The project was supervised by Waldo Mason.
